Draw a box over anything sensitive and the content underneath is permanently destroyed, not just covered up. Your file never leaves your browser.
Loading the redaction tool...
The file is read directly by your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Drag across anything that needs to be hidden, on any page.

No. The entire redaction happens inside your browser on your own device. Your file is never uploaded, stored, or sent to Notriv or anyone else. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool will still work.
A highlight or drawing annotation sits on top of the page. The original text is still in the file underneath it, so anyone can copy and paste it, extract it with a command line tool, or simply delete the annotation. This tool rebuilds each redacted page from a flattened image, so the original text is never carried into the new file.
No. Pages you redact are rendered to an image with the black boxes burned in, and a new PDF is built from that image. The original page objects, text, and fonts are never copied into the output, so there is nothing left behind to recover.
Pages you redact become images, so text on those specific pages is no longer selectable or searchable. Pages you did not redact are left completely untouched and keep their original text layer, so the rest of the document stays searchable. You can also choose to flatten every page.
Yes. You can draw redaction boxes with your finger or a stylus the same way you would with a mouse. Very large documents may be slower on a phone than on a computer.
